wissenschaftsbezogener Informationen<\/h3>\n<h4>Evaluation of science-related explanations<\/h4>\n<p>Erkl\u00e4rungen spielen f\u00fcr Menschen eine wichtige Rolle. Sie geben uns ein Gef\u00fchl des Verstehens, auch wenn dieses Gef\u00fchl tr\u00fcgerisch sein kann. In dem Projekt interessieren wir uns daf\u00fcr, wie Menschen wissenschaftsbezogene Erkl\u00e4rungen bewerten. Mit wissenschaftsbezogenen Erkl\u00e4rungen meinen wir Erkl\u00e4rungen, die aus den Wissenschaften stammen, aber so aufbereitet sind, dass sie allgemein verst\u00e4ndlich sind. Ein Beispiel hierf\u00fcr sind medizinische Erkl\u00e4rungen zu Krankheiten, die man in \u00f6ffentlich zug\u00e4nglichen Gesundheitsportalen lesen kann. Wir untersuchen, welche Merkmale von Erkl\u00e4rungen und welche Merkmale von Personen die Bewertung wissenschaftsbezogener Erkl\u00e4rungen beeinflussen und wie viel Wissen Personen durch das Lesen wissenschaftsbezogener Erkl\u00e4rungen erwerben. Die Ergebnisse unserer Studien zeigen, dass Personen irrelevante Merkmale von Erkl\u00e4rungen als Grundlage f\u00fcr ihre Bewertung heranziehen und die Ber\u00fccksichtigung relevanter Merkmale von Erkl\u00e4rungen als Grundlage f\u00fcr die Bewertung von der Lesekompetenz der Personen abh\u00e4ngig ist.
