Prior to my employment at the university, I taught for several years as a high school teacher at different types of schools and additionally acquired the career qualification for the teaching profession at elementary schools.<\/p>\n<p>In the DFG research project <a href=\"https:\/\/ezw.uni-freiburg.de\/en\/action\/\">ACTion &#8211; \u201cThe Acquisition of Core Practices in Teacher Education\u201d<\/a> (Prof. Dr. Matthias N\u00fcckles, Prof. Dr. Marc Kleinknecht), I am concerned with how core practices of teaching (McDonald et al., 2013) can be optimally taught to prospective teachers. The focus is on teaching core practices in the domain of practice &#8220;supporting students\u2019 self-regulated reading of scientific texts\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>In the training of prospective teachers at our institute, I offer courses on core competencies in classroom practice.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n\n<style type=\"text\/css\" data-created_by=\"avia_inline_auto\"
