Dr. Johanna Korte

I am a Postdoctoral Research Associate in the section Teaching, Learning and Motivation at the Department of Educational Science.

In my research, I focus on the use of social media for fitness purposes among adolescents, particularly in relation to body image and its relevance for physical education. Additionally, as part of the interdisciplinary research college ” Evidence-based teaching and thinking” (WisE), I am developing an intervention to promote evidence-based thinking and teaching for the core practice of “preventing disruptions in physical education” within classroom management. The effectiveness and sustainability of the intervention will be investigated in experimental and longitudinal studies to assess its (long-term) significance for teacher education, teaching practices, and teachers’ health.

In teaching, I offer courses on developing personal competencies for teachers.
