I am a senior academic counselor at the Department of Educational Science in the section Empirical Teaching and School Research . I am responsible for coordinating the Master of Education study program, implementing professional development for teachers and supervising our external cooperation partners. In addition, I organize and supervise the interdisciplinary educational projects in the M.A. program in Educational Science – Teaching and Learning.

In my research, I investigate the connections between social disparities and educational participation. In particular, I am interested in categories of social inequality in the context of education as well as basic frameworks of educational processes and educational transitions. In my current research project FenCeS , I am investigating the academic success and the experience of foreignness of first-generation college students. The project aims to identify influencing factors as well as to derive support measures. Within the framework of the research project, final theses can be written and research internships can be completed.
In my teaching I offer lectures and seminars on the framework of educational processes, cognitive and motivational processes of learning, core competencies of teaching, goal-oriented communication in the classroom and project management.
