Dr. Elisabeth Wegner
I am an academic researcher at the Institute of Educational Science in the section Empirical Teaching and School Research.
In my research, I investigate how metaphors help to better understand how individuals think about teaching and learning, but also about phenomena as climate change and sustainability. Moreover, I am interested in research on Education for Sustainable Development (ESD) in general. Finally, I am involved in research on how teacher students can be supported to build coherence between different knowledge domains in order to improve their professional development.
In my teaching I offer lectures and seminars on a broad range of topics in the area of education in all study programs at our institute. Currently, I am also coordinator of the bachelor programs and contact person for ERASMUS exchanges.
